The House By The Cemetery 1981 Full movie

God... I used to watch the unrated version of this movie all the time! I'd get really high, watch it... be confused, but entertained... then watch it again... ect. Weird, but likeable. Except for Bob, and Bob's dub... good gore. Dark Italian 80s synthesizer soundtrack. Cheesy and campy. Equally as funny as is creepy.

HAHA! Bob's dub, yeah, I thought it was funny. I like the movie, I watched it for the sake of understanding the trivia bit I read about We Are Still Here, that it was inspired by this Italian film. I like the 2015 film more than this, but it's still pretty nice.

Yeah, surprisingly Elisa Dowling is in it, she's one of the family members, so you can't recognize her given the extensive makeup. I liked it a lot more than It Follows, and that seems to be the more acclaimed horror film of the year.

It's not a remake, just that it's inspired by The House By The Cemetery. The Italian film had one...thing. Let's go with corpse. We Are Still Here had multiple ones. The dead family in the 2015 film, do not communicate as ghosts or anything like that. The general concept of a haunted house, family moving in, shit going down, and also some characters were named after ones in the Italian film. But the 2015 film had a climax that just blew my mind, while The House By Cemetery's climax was fine, but also kind of funny. There's no mechanical bat in We Are Still Here.

The House by the Cemetery (Italian: Quella villa accanto al cimitero) is a 1981 Italian supernatural horror film directed by Lucio Fulci. The film stars Catriona MacColl, Paolo Malco, Ania Pieroni, Giovanni Frezza, Silvia Collatina and Dagmar Lassander. It is the third instalment of the unofficial Gates of Hell trilogy which also includes City of the Living Dead and The Beyond.
